Lecturer In Sustainability And The Smart Environment
I am a Lecturer in Sustainability and the Smart Environment at The Open University. My research focuses on developing innovative biotechnological solutions to environmental challenges, including the treatment of emerging contaminants, sustainable water technologies, resource recovery from waste streams, and circular economy approaches. Drawing on an interdisciplinary background spanning environmental engineering, biotechnology, and environmental science, I work at the interface of engineering and biology to develop sustainable technologies that deliver both environmental and societal benefits. Through collaborations with academic, industrial, and policy partners, I aim to translate research into practical solutions that support the transition towards a more sustainable future.
