In order to cover for maternity leave, the Open University\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Knowledge Media Institute has an opening for a Lead Web Developer on the SocialLearn Project.

The SocialLearn Project is developing an online space for all learners to make sense of the wealth of content\/media by developing their understanding with recommendations feeds and help to construct or follow a \u00e2\u20ac\u02dclearning journey\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 (connections between educational resources). Learners will be able to personalise their tools and services, rather like an iGoogle dashboard tuned to their learning interests. They will take the toolkit with them as they browse the web, connecting with others, building learning connections and communities with peers, mentors and teachers.

You will be responsible for the team and technical leadership of three Web Developers, as well as the specification and design; production, integration and validation of planned products; roll out and verification, and team working. You will report to the project\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Lead Technical Architect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
