This post will be providing operational support overseeing the running of the systems and web services of the (KMi) Knowledge Media Institute lab. KMi has a large number of Windows and Linux servers which require ongoing patching and maintenance. In addition, KMi has a significant web-presence, with numerous web services built on common content management systems. These will also require ongoing patching and updating.

The role holder will also work with backup systems, tape libraries, server hardware and virtualisation technologies and be expected to monitor and provide daily management of these.

The post requires the role holder to work as part of the Systems & Development Team, reporting to the Systems & Development Manager. The team currently supports the lab in the areas of systems infrastructure and web development. The opportunity to develop professional and personal skills in these fields will also be presented to the role holder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
