We are currently on the cusp of a revolution in AI technologies and many of them are being integrated into everyday life. However, there is still work to do to make them human-centric by being understandable, controllable and fair. In this talk I will cover some of my own work in this area, and the challenges to be overcome that point the way for future research in this area.
We are also inviting top experts in AI and Knowledge Technologies to discuss major socio-technological topics with an audience that comprises both members of the Knowledge Media Institute, as well as the wider staff at The Open University. Differently from our seminar series, these events follow a Q&A format.
