The School has around 70 postgraduate research students studying across all of our research areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each year we advertise a range of defined research projects and expect to recruit full-time postgraduate students to a selection of those projects, on fully-funded studentships (providing fees and stipend).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part-time, self-funded postgraduate students on self-defined projects are also welcomed where the projects closely match the interests and activities of staff members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The usual start date for new PhD students is 1st October, but we sometimes have projects and studentships available for start on 1st February too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
